Sack
Trick Penguins on the Moon CD
Review by Robert Adams, Rock
Sound 5/5
"What do you get if you mix ex-members of Atom Seed, Rainbow, Robbie Williams band and members of Rachel Stamp and AntiProduct plus a collection of other musical misfits? The answer is Sack Trick, probably the most entertainingly diverse band to appear in the last ten years. As sensible as the Monstar Raving Looney party and as serious as Vic'n'Bob, Penguins on the Moon is a musical that kicks anything Andrew Lloyd Webber could come up with into another galaxy. Gasp as the penguins face adversity head on and cheer with delight as the story unfolds. If that wasn't enough, stay tuned after the tale is over to hear complete lunacy. Brilliantly written, brilliantly performed and brilliantly put together, Sack Trick could very well be the saviours of a very stale UK music scene. An album that deserves the title essential. Do yourself a favour and get the sack."
