Sack Trick Sheep In Kiss Make-up CD
Review by Joop Van Pelt in Kiss Kollector Magazine

"Sheep In Kiss Make Up is the title of the newest Kiss Tribute CD. But it's not like any other Kiss tribute album out there, as not only is it very well played but it's also very funny (and what else could you expect from musicians with names such as Bobby the Bus Driver?). I'm a Legend Tonight for instance is done in Mexican style, All Hells' Breakin' Loose features a very funky groove (and a segment of What Makes the World Go Round whereas there's also an extremely short cover being a 4 second version of I've had Enough (Into the Fire) which merely consists of a death metal grunt. The 75 minute album has been recorded by an English 'band' (more like a project) named Sack Trick- who in fact released two original albums earlier- and contains surprising covers such as Ace Frehley's Audio Video and Gene Simmons' demo Stanley the Parrot as well as a compilation of the (Music from) the Elder album. With all the fun going on, you might think they didn't pay much attention to the musicianship but the playing/singing happens to be some of the best you'll ever hear on a Kiss tribute. There's some great stuff on this album, which features some pretty big names. Ace (most known as the guitarist in Skunk Anansie) played guitar solos on Almost Human, while Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson can be heard on Shout it Out Loud, to name but a few. Mentioning all the highlights would take up to much space, but I just have to mention Love Her All I Can, Almost Human and a great slow version of Deuce. Also in the 12 page booklet there are some funny Kiss-inspired photos to add to the fun of it all. For more info check out www.sacktrick.com "
