June 27th 2005 To celebrate Reuben's coming of age we've decided to do a "Happy Birthday Reuben Tour". It's only two gigs, so don't get too excited, it's not a full Euro-jaunt (that's coming up later). The venues we'll be playing on the "Happy Birthday Reuben Mini-Tour" are- Sunday 11th
September "UK Kiss Expo 2005" at Dudley JB's The Sheep In Kiss Make UP CD is still selling well, (both online on the Mail Order section of this website and through Cargo Records in the shops in UK and Europe and Hellion Records in Brazil) it seems you've all been spreading the word for us again haven't you? More nice people are sending us emails to say how much they've enjoyed the record (see the Sheep Reactions Page), the latest of these people only being Bob Ezrin- the guy who produced the original Elder album for Kiss! We got a short email forwarded on to us after sending him a copy. He said he "loved it". Let me repeat that again in capitals...BOB EZRIN WHO PRODUCED THE ELDER FOR KISS LOVED OUR VERSION OF HIS RECORD!...You may or may not know how much that means to us, but it'd be an understatement if I said it was quite a lot.
You may have heard there's a new compilation
album out at the moment featuring Sack Trick and some related bands
(such as Plan A, AntiProduct, TAT and many more, see-
www.screamingtarts.com)
...is that reason
enough to buy it?
No, not without a full explanation from the album's instigator, Mister Martyn.
Chris Paulo Dale is the special guest on Bruce Dickinson's BBC6 Music Rock Show coming up very soon. And confusingly Bruce Dickinson is the special guest on Chris Dale's Total Rock Show (www.totalrock.com) this Thursday 3-6pm UK time. There's also a new interview with Chris Paulo Dale online at www.Roarrock.com. Remember ages ago we had a competition to cover or remix a Sack Trick tune? We've just had a great entry from Martin Brien, better late than never we say. You can hear his remix of "No Tomatoes" here. Our current Sheep In Kiss Make-up competition is still online, we've had some good answers and some bad ones....but there's still more genuine Kiss autographs to be won so keep trying here. Yes, thanks for asking. The Sack new recordings are coming along fine. All instrumental parts finished, now on to the vocals....information will follow. OTHER

NEWS May 18th 2005 Now that we've released Sheep In Kiss Make-up, and it's been so much fun it seems everyone's jumping on the "release a CD" bandwagon. We've really started something here. Now there's loads of albums and stuff to get hold of (many of them featuring one or more Sack Trick members). Pillow Talk's new album has just been released (spellcheck suggested that it had been "relapsed" and that might have been more accurate). It's called "Criminal Conviction" and features Sack Trick's Dave Cheeseman in a multi tasking role as well as guest spots from Roo Gotto and Benny Calvert. It's as brilliant as their first two albums (perhaps more so) very silly and so well done. Check out the second part of Dr Roland Parker on there or the Song For Peace...much too good. See Pillow Talk. Our Crazy Swedish Friends Mattias and Henrik who have supplied such additions to Sack Trick as the yodelling on 'War Machine' and the mandolin on 'Great Expectations' on Sheep In Kiss Make-up, themselves have a rather funny Iron Maiden Tribute coming out soon. Chris Paulo Dale even plays some bass on it. Check out their taster MP3s at Food For Thought. Talking of Iron Maiden, their singer and occasional Sack Trick member, Bruce Dickinson has a new solo album coming out next week. It's called ‘Tyranny of Souls’. Contrary to some rumours circulating no other Sack Trick members have recorded on this album, although we have heard that it's very good indeed! But more good news also on the Sack Trick/Bruce Dickinson front is that all the old Bruce Dickinson solo albums are also being re-released with extra discs full of B-sides, live tracks and bonus material. Chris Paulo Dale, Alex Dickson and Alex Sponder Elena feature on the releases of Skunkworks (including the pre-Sack Trick tunes Italian Drummer and Americans are Behind), Alive In Studio A and on a couple of Balls To Picasso B-sides (including the very silly Post Alternative Seattle Fall Out). Some of these tracks have never been released on CD before. For more details see Scream For Me, The Bruce Dickinson Well Being Network and Nando's new Bruce Fans website. More on Bruce Dickinson and Sack Trick in that Renato Tribuzy's long awaited 'Execution' album (featuring both Bruce and Chris Paulo Dale along with members of Angra, Helloween and Primal Fear) is finally getting it's first releases next month. See Tribuzy for more details on this massive metal project. Twin Zero (featuring Roo Gotto, Benny Calvert and Dave Cheeseman) not content with their stunning debut album Monolith are to release a split EP with 27 coming soon. See Twin Zero for details. A Guy/Tormé/McCoy album! Now as if our family tree hadn't already got out of hand enough Robin Guy's been recording with former Ozzy/Gillan axe hero Bernie Tormé and Gillan/Mammoth Bassist John McCoy...we'll let you know when this project is due for release. Chris Paulo Dale and Pillow Talk frontman, James Jirgens have begun pre-production on a new instructional album entitled "Teach Yourself Latvian". The album will cover basic phrases, grammar and useful vocabulary to a light musical background. Neither Chris nor James speak Latvian but both are optimistic about picking some up along the way. More details to follow. And if this "new album" fever has hit you really hard you might like to have a listen to some friends of ours album at Faint Signs of Intelligence. They've got a rather silly side to their excellent new album too, check out the MP3 for "Will You Look After My Hamster"! See Faint Signs of Intelligence "It's all
very well having other albums to hear but what about another Sack Trick
album?" I hear you say... Till then if you're still in need of some extra Sack Trickery check out our ever funny chat forum at this website and also the newly updated Sack Trick fansites Into The Void, Barren Frozen Wasteland and Chez Sack Trick. They're all packed with penguin flavoured rock silliness. A new Kiss book is coming out featuring contributions from Kiss fans all over the world. There's going to be a section on Sack Trick in there and also you Kiss fans can send in your own contributions too. See The Passion of Kiss. Now that Chris Paulo Dale is back from his bizarre marathon metal club adventure (see Chris Paulo Dale Diary Page for even less updated information) his Total Rock Radio DJing services will be resumed with his own shade of Metal on Thursday's 3-6pm UK time. Make sure to catch tomorrow's opening blast of molten rock where the special guest popping in to the studio will be Black Sabbath's Metal Bass God Geezer Butler! Tune in to Total Rock. Oh and
thanks to Alfie Deliss for our new press photo at the top of this page! |

March 15th 2005 Sack Trick's Sheep in Kiss Make Up is in the shops just like a real band's CDs would be! It's distributed by Cargo Records across the UK and Europe. HMV seem to be one of the better places to buy it from although many independent shops are stocking it too. You should be able to order it through any record shop now, although if you're having problems it's still available at our mail order page. And the first reviews have come out the latest issue of Rock Sound gave us 8/10, Classic Rock gave us 7/10 (see the Press Page for full reviews)...more reviews on the way check the UK music press. That Islands competition was hard wasn't it? Two lucky winners get a first prize each, John Ging and Nando, congratulations and well done to everyone who entered- it was very close. I'll post the correct answers in the Chat Forum in case you're curious. Meanwhile now there's a brand new competition here to win genuine Kiss autographs simply by listening to Sheep In Kiss Make-up a few more times! We've also heard that bootleggers in the USA have been selling copied CDRs of Sheep In Kiss Make-up! While we're very flattered that someone would want to go to the effort of copying our CDs for sale, it is a little bit naughty and there's no guarantee of quality- and they're generally no cheaper either. Gene Simmons wouldn't be very happy either because although we've paid Kiss their due royalties on our pressings of the album, these bootleggers probably haven't. To be sure you're getting an official CD always order through this website or through a reputable shop or dealer. OTHER NEWS |

February 9th 2005 Sheep In Kiss Make-up will finally be released in shops in the UK and Europe on Monday February 14th through Cargo Records (home of such bands as Eric Singer Project and AntiProduct). It might be in your local record shop, if not try ordering it through them. If however you still can't get it through your local record shop, remember all Sack Trick CDs and Tshirts are always still available from the Mail Order Page here at www.sacktrick.com . Getting a proper record company release means we should be getting some UK press reviews soon so keep an eye on things like Rock Sound, Kerrang, Classic Rock and Metal Hammer over the next few weeks...you never know we might get a mention! January 10th 2005 We probably should have guessed it but the Kissmas 2004 Tour was our best ever! If you saw it you'll know what we're on about, if you missed it there's a new Kissmas tour gallery for you to see all the fun you missed. Well not quite all the fun, you'll never be able to guess how much fun a pint of hard boiled eggs can be unless you're stuck in a van with two smelly drummers eating them! We got some great reviews on the tour (it seems it wasn't just us that enjoyed the gigs). BBC Guernsey liked it too and gave us a review and interview. Kiss Kollector Magazine gave us a great review, you can read it in our press section. Negative Snow is a great brand new fanzine covering all types of rock and metal, their first choice of bands to interview was of course us! Check them out at www.negativesnow.tk The special Competition we've got running at the moment to win exclusive Sack Trick tour merchandise has got a few people confused, try entering now before we get bored and tell you the answers. Oh, by the way, congratualtions to Paul Ashby who won the last competition, good man! And thanks Paul for sending us some really cool CDs too! Spreader (the hero behind the vocals on War Machine and the Bass on Love Gun) has made a little video for all you out there. You can download his personal message here. Oh, yeah I forgot to mention....we got some record deals for Christmas! One in Brazil (where Nando lives) with Hellion Records and one in the US of A (that's a really big country to the West of Ireland. Funnily enough Kiss are from the US and A too) with Nightmare Discs. And we've got an upcoming UK and European record deal (this one's so secret even the company don't know they're going to sign us yet! We're going to tell them the good news later this week). But that doesn't mean your local record shop will always have stocks of our albums- don't worry they'll always still be available here on the Mail Order section of this website with free postage and packing. In fact that special offer we had running last month where you could get three of our albums at a discount price proved so popular we decided to keep it as a regular feature. Why? Because we're so nice! WEB UPDATES

December 14th 2004 The new Tour has been going great! Edinburgh, Kingston, Isle of Wight, Guernsey and Denmark have partaken of the rock. Nottingham (this Wednesday), York (this Thursday), Oxford (this Friday), Norwich (this Saturday) and London Camden Barfly (this Saturday- see Tour Dates Page for cheap entry flyers) still to come. The gigs started off a little bit silly and have just got more silly since. Rock has been given and received. I imagine the Camden Barfly show will be the pinnacle of all that is metal (and a little bit silly). We're going to be adding a Gallery of the Kissmas gigs here soon, so send us any photos you have of the fun and games and we'll add them too. There's already a load from the Kingston gig at the Blank Canvas website under "On Location". Loads more web updates, news and reviews to come but we've got to go and play some metal! SLIGHT SURPRISE Well, this last few weeks have been quite remarkable. As you know, the new Sack Trick CD "Sheep In Kiss Make-up" came out the other week (if you've not heard about it yet click here for details) and it's gone mad! We've sold loads of them, and T-shirts and the old albums, Penguins and Rabbits- not stratospheric multi-platinum but we were into triple figures in the first week. We got over 1,000 hits on the website in two days. We've been offered record deals in Brazil, UK (we gracefully turned that one down) and even one in America (imagine that, 'Sack Trick sign US record deal', funny eh?). We've had loads of great feedback from people all over the world. Kiss fansites have gone literally psycho for it. Bruce Kulick even emailed us to say how cool he thought it was. The National Library of Wales has just bought a copy to keep in stock. This is all without any advertising, printed press, terrestrial radio airplay, promo videos or record company support at all. Just word of mouth and the internet. That means you, Sack Trick and Kiss fans around the world! Thank you all very much for buying this album, sending us cool emails saying how much you like it, telling other people about it and generally spreading the Sack Trick word. Keep up the good work! And now the first few reviews are coming out, click here to read what other people have said about it and send us your comments too. The reviews are being put up on the Press Page so keep checking back for more. A

You can see them at the Mail Order Page page. And we can

July 4th 2004 As we
mentioned before we've developed a Secret Plan, and we can't tell you about it just
yet, sorry. Guernsey now has more Sack Trick fans per head of population than any other place in the World. With a population of 65,000 owning about 40 CDs between them, one in 1,625 of the inhabitants own a Sack Trick album. This compares well with the mainland UK where one in 21,600 own a Sack Trick album. In Russia only one in 146 million people own a Sack Trick album. Come on Russia, you can do better than that! Several Sack Trick Fans managed to make it from England to the gig in Guernsey last weekend. They were Reuben Gotto, Jef Streatfield, Chris Dale, Ben Calvert and DJ Cheeseman. Luckily they were all in the band too and knew how to play all the songs quite well. So the gig/holiday in Guernsey became a scalding hot success, as you'll see if you visit the new Guernsey Photo Mini-Gallery. Guernsey also has the most observant Sack Trick fan in the World in Mat Keeling, who was the only one of you to point out our deliberate error in the last mail-out and news piece where we claimed to be playing on Saturday the 18th June when Saturday was of course the 19th. Well spotted Mat! Other eagle eyed readers may like to point out more of our deliberate spellijg errors all over this website... May 21st 2004 As we mentioned we've developed a Secret Plan, and we can't tell you about it just yet, sorry. That's what secret means. We're often getting asked "Why don't you play a gig near me?". As you can imagine doing a gig near everyone would take some time, so as the perfect compromise between our UK fans and our continental fans in France and Belgium we've decided to do another gig in the Channel Islands. This way it'll be just as easy for everyone to get there (ie. practically impossible). Everyone happy now? Or do we have to play a gig on the same land-mass as you before you'll turn up? Remember that if you've never been to the Channel Islands before and you fancy a Summer holiday now's the time. We're playing at- BLIND O'REILLY'S, St Sampson, Guernsey on Saturday 18th June. It's free to get in, 'cos we're nice like that, the people we work with are nice like that too and we understand that just getting there may cost you a small fortune. OCTOBER 20th 2003 Remember that if you've never been to the Channel Islands before and you fancy a late Summer holiday now's the time. We're playing at- BLIND O'REILLY'S, St Sampson, Guernsey on Saturday 25th October. This weekend is special to us as is marks the 20th Anniversary of the Kiss Lick It Up UK Tour. It's free to get in, 'cos we're nice like that, and the people we work with are nice like that too. Phone the venue for more details 01481 244 503. Guernsey details 40,000 hits? It seems this website's had over forty thousand hits. Now that's all a bit odd don't you think? That's more than the population of Guernsey, so it can't have been them. It's probably the CIA, still checking up on us... Oh
and here's a few more dates to put in your diaries... Also Alex Dickson has made a few more of his infamous video clips which we've added to the video clips page. There's also some new video clips at the Chris Paulo Dale and Robin Guy websites too. We've also updated the Who's Who page to include latest Sack Trick recruit, Dave Cheeseboard from Pillow Talk, who'll be making his live debut with us in Guernsey this weekend. The links pages here on the home site have also been updated to include many more silly websites including a Yahoo Group for Hedgehogs and a website for Sack Trick bootleg traders...go for it, we don't care! We've also fixed the wallpaper page after some of you out there spotted how much of a mess we'd originally made of it. See if you can spot any more "deliberate" errors on the site! There's also a fiendish new competition on this site to win tickets for our December Tour! Also we've added a link from that page so you can still view all the old competitions from this site, some of which are still open to entries, others are just to test your general knowledge on subjects such as Keel and Underground Railways. It's actually competition mania here as there's a new caption competition on the chat forum. Oh! and Nando from the chat forum pointed out we'd had some press in the Brazilian magazine "Rock Brigade", check it out here...how brilliant is that? ...OTHER

SEPTEMBER 29th 2003 Bad News!...the King's Head in Fulham is finally to close. This is a very sad moment, it was like a second home for us all. The one piece of good news is that we get one last chance to party! We having a farewell gig/party there on Monday 6th October. Doors will be at about 8pm, we'll be on about 10pm. It'll be £5 on the door to get in, support bands to be announced. For directions to the King's Head (4 Fulham High St, SW6) click here. We know Monday's a bit difficult sometimes, but please make the effort to come down to one of London's best loved venues one last time... Even we were beginning to worry about why the Sheep in Kiss Make-up album was taking so long. Every little part of the job seems to be taking forever. Recording all the different people, mixing, mastering and now talking to record companies to get it out there. We were begining to wonder if somebody was out to stop us, then we found proof of a CIA plot here don't worry we'll foil their dastardly plans and get this album released soon... Meanwhile some people are trying to compile a list of all the gigs Sack Trick have ever done, including dates, line-ups, setlists and any or funny incidents. Do you remember when you first saw Sack Trick? See if you can help them out at the Chat Forum. ...OTHER

SEPTEMBER 20th 2003 We've got a gig in Guernsey coming up! It's true, our plan to play more out of the way places than other bands is in full swing. Phone the venue for more details 01481 244 503. Since our UK distribution with ORG Records has now run out, we thought it would be rather fitting to have the very cool Changes One Shop as our sole UK retail outlet. You can still order your Sack Trick albums "Mystery Rabbits" and "Penguins On The Moon" directly and personally through the mail order page on the Sack Trick website. But you can also get them from Changes One Shop and website too. Check them out they also have loads of other cool bands and releases you may have missed. We had a bit of a party at the famous King's Head in Fulham last week for Reuben "The Impaler" Gotto's birthday. SEPTEMBER 4th 2003 Sorry there's still no release date set for the new SHEEP IN KISS MAKE-UP album but we're just sorting all that out now with companies and stuff. We'll let you know as soon as it's ready. In the meantime we've already started recording plenty more ideas for the next full Sack Trick album.... So for now there's loads of new website updates again for you to check out. Firstly may I recommend that you join the online petition for a Midnight Blue Reunion Tour with Alex Dickson, Jem Davis and Doogie White. The campaign is growing in momentum so sign up now, there's MP3s and videos to be had there too. Secondly may we recommend the updated Chez Sack Trick French website which now has an English version for those unlikely few of you who don't parlez French.
