Pictures from China 1914
Reproduced from the Doppler Collection by kind permission

This page shows a collection of illustrations made by R. Becker (possibly Robert Becker of the 1st Company, Kiaochow Naval Artillery) showing an eyewitness' view of the Fall of Tsingtao in November 1914. They are unique in that I have not so far been able to find any photographs or other illustrations made from the German point of view during the Siege of Tsingtao.

The photographs of these illustrations are © Doppler 2005, please respect his generosity in sharing these photos with us by not reproducing them without prior permission.

The photographs showing members of the Seebatallione, Imperial Navy, East Asian Expeditionary Corps and Tsingtao Chinese Police that used to be displayed on this page are now on the Period Uniform Photographs Page.
